CLASS DESCRIPTION:
As knitwear accounts for approximately 70% of our wearing apparel, now is the time to learn the techniques of fitting and sewing these superb fabrics. Starting with the revolutionary knit sewing of the 1950’s to the current invasion of knit fabrics and stretch woven, the techniques for pattern fitting and garment sewing are not at all difficult. This class will include fabric identification, pattern fitting and various technique samples while you construct your knit garments. The wider your variety of knit fabrics you sew, the better your choice of techniques to use – so both Serger use and sewing machine methods will be covered.
